We are a like minded bunch of people here at Three Oceans. We share a passion for fish and for turning them into great quality products. Here you can meet our core team and find out a little more about what makes us tick.
Founder, Owner and Chief Executive
Tim founded the company in 1992 and remains the sole owner today, he is a hands on leader with his finger firmly on the pulse of the world's fisheries and a nose for exactly when, where and which species to procure. As the chief fish buyer for the business he ensures that only the best quality fish arrives at Three Oceans, without which the rest of the business would have no foundation.
His accumulated knowledge of many individual fish species must be up there amongst the best in the industry and he is a huge supporter of sustainable fishing policies. His pursuit of quality in both product and service is relentless and he instils this belief in every member of the Three Oceans team.
His goal is to make Three Oceans second to none in the provision of service, excellence and quality sea food products to the UK Food Service Industry.
Away from work Tim adores family life. He is a keen competitor and enjoys all country sports, golf and snowboarding. He is a lifelong supporter of Leeds United Football Club.
Tim loves all seafood, choosing fish over meat every time. He prefers simply cooked quality fish.
Chairman
Mark has over thirty years experience as a Corporate Lawyer, and first assisted in the formation and structuring of the Company in 1991. Since then he has gained significant experience advising companies across many industry sectors and particularly those specializing in Food and Food Service.
He is passionate about developing businesses by getting the most out of management team members, individually and collectively. Good corporate governance and continuing business improvement are also high on Mark’s agenda.
As Chairman, Mark brings a wealth of experience to the Board Table, both legally and commercially.
Away from work Mark enjoys country sports, playing tennis, and enjoying a relaxed rural lifestyle in Lincolnshire.
Mark enjoys cooking and eating good food, and fish particularly, turbot en papillote is his favourite dish.
Sales & Marketing Director
Geoff is the principal ambassador and voice of Three Oceans, taking the company's message of uncompromising quality to the market place.
Geoff has spent all his working life in the food industry and a good deal of that in frozen products working on leading FMCG brands. Geoff is constantly on the look out for potential customers with the credentials for a 'good fit' with Three Oceans.
He loves a challenge and works closely with 3O's development chefs to resolve new product challenges, often responding within 48 hours of a new product brief with pre-production samples.
Away from work Geoff enjoys family life and the occasional game of golf with his two sons, although gone are the days when he stood a chance of beating them. He has obviously taught them too well.
Geoff also devotes much of his own time to public and community service.
Another Haddock fan who enjoys cooking for his family. Presentation is important as Geoff says, he “enjoys a bit of theatre on a plate”.
He is also a shellfish fan and particularly enjoys Scallops and Oysters.
And whilst not strictly a seafood it is probably no surprise that our former London lad also has a liking for jellied Eels.
Financial Director
A qualified CIMA registered Accountant, Mark brings vast experience and a steady hand at the financial helm of Three Oceans. Guiding the business through the often turbulent financial and accounting waters of Payroll, Banking, Client Accounts, Purchasing & Finance, Monthly Management Accounts, Annual Audit, Insurance etc etc etc.
Mark is keen to help maintain Three Oceans reputation for excellence and his fiscal expertise is helping to build on the strong financial foundations that the business is founded upon. He brings a new perspective whilst fitting in well with the established management team.
A Hull man through and through, Mark enjoys all aspects of family time when away from work, although his son and daughter have occasionally been known to ‘drive him to distraction’. A keen sportsman in his youth Mark now focuses on golf for his sporting fix.
Mark is partial to the occasional Fish and Chip supper but prefers a more Mediterranean edge to his seafood (preferably consumed in a balmy Italian harbour side restaurant), fresh Tuna and Swordfish steaks being a particular favourite.

Senior Technical Manager
There isn’t much Simon doesn’t know about the seafood sector having spent 22 years working in this industry. Amongst other things, he has been a researcher into biochemistry of fish quality, an international consultant on control and inspection of post-harvest, seafood supply chains, a lecturer and trainer on food safety, legislation & product traceability, and also an inspector/auditor of seafood supply chains. A career that has taken him all over the world and given him an almost unique perspective on seafood and in particular, fish.
Simon’s vast commercial seafood experience is a huge asset to Three Oceans and his focus is on ensuring that the technical needs of our suppliers and customers are met, that raw materials always meet our high quality standards, and that new products are successfully developed to meet both customer and production requirements.
In addition, his knowledge and experience of the wider seafood sector is used to support the Management team in addressing developing issues in the industry and driving the business forward in a sustainable and ethical way.
Outside work, Simon is a keen amateur photographer of wildlife and landscapes, a natural extension of his enjoyment of the countryside in general. He is also a fan of live music - listening rather than playing.
To quote Simon, “It’s the Cods Pollocks”. He loves the diversity of seafood, enjoying fish and seafood recipes from all around the world. He is always on the look out for something different to try.

Away from work Darren is a passionate and accomplished (professional for 7 years) tennis player and an avid supporter od Sheffield Wednesday FC. He also likes to spend time friends and family which regular takes him to Sydney, Australia.
Playing lots of high tempo tennis requires a lot of protein ‘fuel’. Fish, being a great low-in-fat source of protein, is perfect and Darren eats lots of it. Particular favourites being Haddock, Salmon and John Dory.

Gemma has a unique ‘home grown’ perspective on new product development having worked in production, QA and supervisory roles at Three Oceans for many years.

The apple of Gemma’s eye is her young daughter who pretty much takes up all of her spare time, with any left over spent with family, friends and holidays.
